Is Money The Root of All Evil?

So is Money The Root of All Evil?

If you answered yes to the question above I can pretty much guarantee that you don’t have as much money as you wish you did. Am I right? It’s not your fault, most of us, including me, grew up being conditioned to believe this same idea, but it is so not true!!

Here’s why:

Money is no more than a piece of paper that is used in exchange for goods and services. Let me say that again. Money is no more than a piece of paper that is used as an exchange for goods and services. It’s literally no different than if you were to exchange your artwork, or music, or physical labor directly for food, water, shelter, or other things.

The reason people have come up with this concept that money is evil is because of the misuse and abuse that people have had through the course time with the money they get, not because of a simple piece of paper. That’s all money is, it’s a piece of paper, it’s not good, it’s not bad, it’s a piece of paper.

Think about this:

  •  If you had a $1,000,000 and you used that money to build schools that will help educate children to give them the knowledge they need to go on and have better, more fulfilling lives, is money bad?
  • What if you had a bunch of cash and donated it to a couple scientists that used that money to do research to find an actual cure for cancer which ends up saving hundreds of thousands of lives. Is money evil there?
  • What if you had $1,000,000 and you used that money to build a shelter for 500 people that are currently living in horrible conditions with no clean water, no protection from the elements, and no chance of getting real rest. Is money bad there?
  • What if you just had an extra $10 and bought a homeless person that was really cold, a sweater so they would be warm is money evil there?

There are so many more examples, but the point is that money can be really really good. It only depends on what people choose to do with the money they get and on their perspective.

When people get obsessed with the idea that they want more money, more money, it’s not the money they want. It’s the things they can get with that money. And the thing is, if you are thinking that getting a new shiny car, or a big house, or a Rolex watch, or anything like that is what you need to make you happy, you will never be truly happy and that has nothing to do with a piece of paper.

Should You Feel Guilty or Is It Bad to Want Nice Things?

Is it bad or should you feel guilty if you want a shiny new car, a big house, or a Rolex watch? No, not at all, although many will try to make you feel bad for this, and it will always be those that do not have as much money as they wish they had. If that is what you want, it’s ok, you deserve to have it and there is a positive, productive way to get it. But be very aware of your thoughts if you think that having those things is going to make you happy. It may give you a warm fuzzy feeling for a little while, but it will wear off if you are not already just as happy without those things.

If you are making money doing or providing something of positive value that people truly need, it is going to feel a whole lot better than if you are making money doing something bad or that does not provide value. And if you are doing something you truly love, it won’t feel like work, and you will want to do more of it. You’ll actually have to get yourself to take breaks from doing it because you won’t want to stop.

Here’s something else to consider that might really help you as it really helped me once I truly realized it and began to live it.

It really is so true that no matter how good or bad your situation is, if you are able to separate yourself from the thought that you need to make money and start thinking more about how you can better serve others, the money will come and sometimes it will come in ways you never imagined possible.

This can relate to anything you’re doing. Even if you’re flipping burgers at McDonalds and you truly want to make people happy so you put a little effort into making sure the burgers taste good, the fries are cooked right, etc. It’s not a guarantee, but most likely the manager will see that and how the people respond to it, and you may get a raise faster than someone that just doesn’t care. You may even have a customer that sees that and is opening a restaurant and wants to hire you for double the salary. If you want to free yourself financially though, flipping burgers is not what I’d recommend, unless you’re doing it to make money so you can eat while you are perfecting your own skill or craft where you will soon be able to leave that job.

Sometimes you can actually make a bunch of money and be serving someone, but still be doing something immoral, and not really in anyone’s best interest.

Example: A defense attorney that stands to make $200,000 that represents someone that committed a crime and knows the person is guilty, but still represents that person and gets them off because they are able to manipulate the system. This is really bad for everyone because now this person that committed the crime doesn’t get the time they deserve to think about what they did and hopefully learn from their mistake, and they will most likely think they can do it again and will try it again. It’s bad for everyone else because now anyone could be a target for this person’s next crime, and it’s bad for the attorney because whether they admit it to themselves or not, when they do something that they know is not morally right, it will slowly eat away at their soul whether it’s on a conscious or subconscious level, and they will never truly be happy and that sucks. But they can always change their ways, anyone can.

Hopefully you realize after reading that little bit above, that there’s a good chance you’ve been misled in regards to money and that money can create just as much good in the world or even more if peoples’ perspectives can shift regarding money.

Do You Really Deserve To Have It?

Now the last important thing to look at which most of us have an issue with and don’t even realize, is truly believing we deserve to have the money, and have as much of it as we want.  There’s a reason why the majority of people that win lotteries for millions of dollars are broke within a few years. Yes they do lack knowledge regarding money, but the real reason is that they don’t believe they deserve to have it and they find ways to make it disappear fast.

I did this in my own life. I remember a time when I had a couple good months when I was first getting going in real estate investing and I gave a guy $50,000 without blinking an eye because he promised over 100% return in 2 months’ time. Even though my instinct was telling me no, I justified it because the way the money would be made did make sense, this guy was also a well-known investor that actually had been putting on meetings for hundreds of people for years in my area, and I also just said to myself, “That would suck if I lost that money, but I can make it back so I’m taking the chance.”

In retrospect, I know I was just looking to make a quick dollar and just ignored my instinct, and a big part of the reason I did this was because deep down I did not believe I deserved to have the money I had and I believed, subconsciously, that money was bad.

If you believe something is bad or evil, even if it’s because you just have a misunderstanding, you will never have that thing or will find ways to get rid of it. It’s natural, if you tell yourself that money is evil you will probably never have much of it. Some things you don’t know that you don’t know until you learn them. I’m hoping this article will help some of you to see a different perspective that could help you in your lives.

I’m going to lose some of you in a minute if I haven’t already because this article is getting a little long so let’s wrap this.

Last thing I’ll say is to think about who you talk to and have learned  from about money whether it’s your parents or someone else. How much money do they have and/or are they happy? If they don’t have the kind of lifestyle and freedom that you want and know you deserve, then you must seek out and find other people that do have the things you want in life to learn from. What I’m saying here doesn’t just have to do with money; it has to do with anything in your life. If you want to be a really good guitar player then find a guitar player that you love to listen to that teaches and learn from them. If you want to be the great chef, find a very successful, happy chef you like to follow, famous or not famous, and learn from them. If you want to learn how to make a bunch of money online on the side of what you are doing now so that you have the freedom to spend more time with your family or friends, go on more vacations, donate to good causes, etc. then find someone that is currently doing that and learn from them.

Guys you do deserve to have what you want in this life. First you need to specifically identify the things that you want by writing them down, declaring it, and then begin to search for ways that you can have it. That’s it, you made it! Give yourself a pat on the back and please stay tuned because we’ve got a bunch of great stuff coming for whoever is interested.

PS I’d love to hear from you, even if it’s a simple thank you. If you liked this article or have your own feedback to share, please do so in the comments. Your thoughts and feedback mean a lot to me and it could mean a lot to someone else, as well.

Who am I and Can You Relate to Me?

Our next guest is a world traveler, real estate investor, internet marketer, and life coach that has been to almost all 50 states in the US and has traveled to 40 countries around the world. He’s personally spoken with thousands of people across the US while marketing products and services for some of the biggest name companies in the world including, but not limited to the brands listed hereCompanies I have worked for 3. He’s made money as a real estate investor, internet marketer, Domino’s Pizza deliver guy (oh yeah), and more. He loves the beach, loves nature, loves people, loves to surf, and he likes to let loose from time to time too.  Just recently he created a website called which is basically about freeing yourself from fears, financial burden, and just letting go to be the person you truly are and deserve to experience being. Please welcome our next guest Sean Stone!!!

Yes, everything above is true, and I just wrote that intro to a show that you will be able to watch or listen to soon. (Might leave out the Domino’s Pizza part though.) I don’t know the name of the show or shows yet, and I don’t know where they will be or when they will be scheduled because I’ve never been contacted to be on any show, but it’s still coming soon, I just have a feeling. What I’ve seen in my own life is that when you put stuff out into the universe, the universe works for you. To be honest, I couldn’t care less if I’m ever on any show, but I still do have a feeling…

So there’s a little about me, if you want to know more, you can check out my bio here.

Now, for the next question: Can you relate to me? If not, it might be a little hard for you to follow this site, but I think you will be able to relate in some way based on the information below. Take a look and then you will know.

If you know what it’s like to know that you deserve something, but you just can’t get yourself to take the next step to get it, I can relate.

If you know what it’s like to know that you deserve something and go after it and get it with ease, I can also relate.

If you know what it’s like to have so much anxiety and/or depression that you physically and mentally feel paralyzed, I’ve been there before.

On the flip side, if you know what it’s like to be filled with joy and happiness, and truly know and feel you can accomplish just about anything, I can also relate.

If you know what it’s like to be completely broke and seriously stressed out, angry, or frustrated about money, I feel your pain because I know what that’s like too.

And to counter that, If you know what it’s like to make $20,000, $30,000, $40,000 or more in a single month I can also relate to you, and yes it feels pretty damn good.

If you know what it’s like to dread going to work because you hate your job I can relate. And on the other hand, if you know what it’s like to love getting up because you love what you do, very thankfully I can relate too!

If you know what it’s like to have a family member that attempts suicide I can relate. Yes, I’m glad he is still chilling with us in the physical form.

If you know what it’s like to have a family member completely addicted to alcohol or drugs, whether prescription or not, and it completely affects you and your family I can relate.

Even if maybe you yourself have abused alcohol and/or drugs and knew you should stop, but kept doing it, I can also relate.

If you know what it’s like to have a very loving and supportive family, I’m very grateful that I can relate.

If you know what it’s like to have very little, to no support from your family, I have seen that take place in close relationships I have had with others, and can relate to you.

If you know what it’s like to feel lonely or maybe a little insecure at times, I can relate.

If you now what it’s like to feel on top of the world, I can relate to that too!

Hold on, I got a few more…

If you know what it’s like to be in a relationship with a really amazing person that you love, but you realize that person is not the one for you, I can relate.

If you know what it feels like to actually find the absolute love of your life and know that they are “The One”, well I can’t quite relate on that, but I can imagine it’s pretty amazing and I know if it’s meant for me then it will be, let’s just wait and see!

If you know what it’s like to really want to change your body whether you want to gain weight or lose weight, add muscle or subtract fat, I can relate.

If you know what it’s like to apply what you’ve learned and lose or gain that weight, I know what that feels like too and it’s pretty rewarding.

If you know what it’s like to travel the world and embrace many amazing cultures, settings, and experiences across the globe I can relate.

On the flip, if you know what it’s like to live the same exact day over and over for weeks, months, even years and have dreams that you know you deserve, but can’t seem to get to, it sucks and I can relate.

If you know what it’s like to have a life threatening accident or health issue that puts you in the hospital for days or weeks with possibly months of recovery, I can relate and on the other hand if you know what it’s like to be completely healthy mentally, physically, & spiritually I know what that feels like too.

If you know what it’s like to learn a new language, or how to play an instrument, or learn any new craft I can relate.

If you know what it’s like to start a business I can relate. If you know what it’s like to fail at a business you started, I can relate too.

If you know what it’s like to make a really bad business decision that cost you thousands of dollars I can relate. If you know what it’s like to make a really good decision that earned you thousands fast I can relate.

I could keep going all day with this, but I guess what I’m trying to say here is that there’s a good chance that in some shape or form I can relate to you and you can relate to me, and I believe if you follow this site you will find something on here that will help you in your life. On the flip side, if something does grab you and you provide your feedback in the comments, chances are, me or someone else reading may learn something from you that will help us in our lives forever. That’s my vision for this site and it’s exactly why it was created…

This site is set up to entertain, educate, and more importantly to help free you from fears, financial burden, and just let go to be the person you truly are and deserve to experience being.

So here we go folks, this should be fun. Let’s get this party started!
